In 2014 we worked at the Centro de Capicitcion in Zaragoza , Guatemala to help train Community Advisors.
Commonly the people living the rural communities surrounding the centre haven't had a formal education.They are highly practical and resourceful people and quickly understand the benefit of a skill once it's demonstrated.
On the course the advisors learnt practical training solutions and how to create association to personal experience to help them provide training in these communities.
Poultice Boot Development WHW Honduras
In Honduras I worked with the Cholutecan Project to develop a relevant and sustainable Poultice Boot for horses suffering from abscesses were there are no stabling facilities.
This poultice boot was made locally using locally sourced materials by the Saddlers trained by the project. Allowing this boot to retailed for a few pence. creating a welfare solution that was affordable and relevant to the needs of the project community.
Equine Welfare Research WHW Honduras
In 2014 I worked with World Horse Welfare to research the welfare needs of working horses in Choluteca. This research was in part used to design the training programme for the Community Based Equine Advisors , who's role it is to support the welfare of working horses in their communities.
Imprint Training Course Redwings
In 2015 we worked with Imprint Shoes to help deliver a training course at Redwings Visitor Centre in Alyssum, North Norfolk. Imprint Shoes provides CPD training in a number of aspects of Farriery training to develop knowledge and skill in the industry and to enable the correct application of their products. This marriage between education and support has sen Imprint Shoes become one of the largest independent UK based Farriery Companies in the world.
British Equestrian Federation World Class Development Programme
Since 2014 Well Equine Ltd has been working alongside the British Equestrian Federation to deliver the World Class Programme. A support structure for Elite Equestrian Horse and Rider combinations. Helping them achieve their dreams of a Podium Success. Dreams that are Shared by the British Nation.
A.W.C.F Exam Training Course
In 2014 Well Equine started providing training services for A.W.C.F Exam Course for the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association. In 2015 we will be working with them again to help supporting qualified farriers working towards this higher level exam.
Farriery Training WHW Project Nicaragua
In 2014 we worked with world Horse Welfare to develop targeted training for the Farrier Service Providers in the Managua Project.
Using Baseline Data we identified the key farriery related welfare issues facing the working horses of Nicaragua's capital city and design farriery solutions to target those issues. Those farriery solutions were then taught to Farrier Service Providers working in the project communities.
Capacity Building Course WHW C.A
In 2014 we worked with World Horse Welfare to develop the training capacity of their Central American Projects.
The course was entitled Success Criteria for Community Training. Teaching a structure for developing community training within a mentored workshop.
This training course forms part of our commitment to sustainability, empowering project communities to improve equine welfare.
Equine Welfare Research WHW Project Costa Rica
In 2014 we worked with Costa Rica Equine Welfare to research the welfare needs of working horses in the Guaymi Indigenous Communities in the south of Costa Rica.
This research has allowed C.R.E.W to develop sustainable and sympathetic welfare solutions to meet the welfare needs of these communities. Including growing forage using sustainable micro culture techniques that preserve this beautiful but endangered habitat.

Community Training Techniques WHW Project Guatemala
In 2014 at the Centro de Capicitcion in Zaragoza, Guatemala we helped to train Community Advisors.
The communities surrounding the centre face some of the greatest pressures within this global economy. The working horses sharing their lives are subject to the same pressures and their welfare suffers because of it.
On the course the advisors learnt practical training solutions to create association to personal experience to them to teach empathy towards the pressures facing working horses.
Children's Project WHW Project Honduras
In 2014 we worked with World Horse Welfare to develop their Children's Project in Choluteca, Honduras.
Commonly in Choluteca the women and children play a major role in looking after the family horses.
Working with the Community Based Equine Advisors we developed a pantomime telling the story of a family and their poorly horse escaping an evil Pirate. As the Fairy God Mother sends people to help the poorly horse the children see how they themselves can help their families horse.
